When a child moves from one setting to another, they make a transition.

The transition  could be in a day where a child is moved to different rooms or shifts from one carer/ parents to another or the normal of today which is from class room to zoom room.

In such scenarios…  what is not kept in mind is the child’s EMOTIONAL SECURITY which gives a need to our teachers to work in partnership with parents to provide children a smooth & a positive transition not breaking the continuity in learning & development.

At VIBGYOR EYS, we have shifted to suit the need of the situation and in turn aid children to a smooth transition while working with parents closely to ensure there is no stop ✋ in the process of learning.

This is undertaken through our engaging circle time sessions which consists of music, art& craft, story, fitness, phonics, numeracy & understanding the world.

These are a 30-40 minutes impactful Sessions.

In our circle times we ensure to promote children’s well-being. Through books like the snazzy wizzy shark! Who had a cold and would have to wear a mask and eventually he felt better so it’s important to wash hands, sneeze in our arms, and wear a mask? Use a sanitizer and assuring the children it’s not too scary to do so.

We also talk about emotions and encourage children to talk and to think about what they are feeling.

Sensory materials like ootblack is used to détress children.

Role play to act out the feelings which is theme based.

Singing, making music with the body which is called body percussions which allows children to express feelings.

Painting with different media like coloured ice, crayons, coffee or turmeric invigorating their senses too.

In our online sessions we believe Children are little people  who have to be responded sensitively to  acknowledged for their feelings, by responding positively to them, aiding them to being independent, empowering children and providing opportunities to enjoy being with others in the comforts of their home .
